I was captain of the Hutch Community College debate team in 1972 and on the team in 1971. We went to the final four at national finals both years. I hold a plaque for being a national finalist. I also helped coach the Sterling College debate team in 1975. I have been a judge at the Kansas state forensics tournament several times. My daughter has also been a state finalist.

I have 4 years of experience working with special needs autistic students for the special ed dept at USD 379 at Clay center. I have been a highly qualified sub teacher in the Abilene, Chapman and Solomon school districts and hold a emergency sub teachers license. I also hold a LPN nursing License. I hold a Candidate Master certificate from the United States Chess Federation. I helped found the Linsberg Chess Club. I have a rating over 2000.

I taught Sunday school at Trinity Lutheran Church at Layton Utah for 5 years. I have been married for 35 years to the mother of my children. I was trained in the Motinzorie Teaching method by Dr. Dorthy Benkie at Sterling College. I also use Validation therapy in my teaching technique. I was trained in validation therapy by Dennet Lamp BSN at the LPN school at McPherson.

My oldest daughter graduated Cum Laude from Weber State University at Ogden Utah. My youngest daughter got her bachelors of Science from Fort Hays University in three years and is also a Registered Nurse. I can inspire your children to do the same. There are hundreds of people in the Abilene area that have benefited from my teaching and nursing skills. I can provide references upon request. I can help you increase you playing level at chess in the most efficient and effective manor. By guiding your advancement as a chess player I can save you countless hours of frustration and increase your level of play very quickly. My unique combination of skills has made me a very effective teacher. I look forward to helping you, your spouse and your children.
