My name is Kyle B., I have recently completed my sophomore year at Valparaiso University as a Mechanical Engineering major. I am currently looking for tutoring positions with students or athletes that are willing to put in the time and effort to better themselves in their subject or sport. I have experience with age groups ranging from 8-18 and I am very flexible as to when I am available to tutor and where I have to go. Throughout my tenure I have completed multiple higher level Mechanical Engineering classes including Dynamics, Mechanisms, and Material Science, while also taking classes in Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics and Literature. While I have been enrolled at Valparaiso I have also been tutoring other students as a Hesse Scholar. As a Hesse Scholar I have tutored multiple subjects in the Math and Science spectrum ranging from Chemistry, Algebra to more advanced classes that were listed above. My experience at Valparaiso is not solely limited to academics though; I am the captain of the Men’s swimming and diving team. Being an engineer and an athlete has helped me to learn time management, which I think is essential to any sort of lasting success. Basically, I want to instill proper time management techniques while tutoring students in order for them to be successful after I am finished tutoring. Along with these experiences I have spent the last three summers life guarding, teaching swim lessons, babysitting, and coaching a swim team. These three summers have had me dealing with a wide variety of kids and has taught me one important thing about how to effectively teach children, patience. I realize that any student is able to learn and be successful if they are willing to put in the time and if they have an instructor that can teach basic concepts and fundamentals in a correct and patient manner. If you have any questions about any of my credentials or if you are seeking references please contact me at my email address.
