I graduated with an undergraduate degree in Instrumental music in 2010 in Bassoon studies. I have played bassoon for 7 years, and clarinet for 14 years. I have had the honor to play with many regional ensembles and enjoy teaching lessons. I teach beginners to intermediate, and have a wide knowledge of music history, performance, and etiquette for both bassoon and clarinet.

My teaching method is driven through student success. Working with fundamentals but also providing growth and development. I am open to working with students on important projects, difficult passages, or providing a skilled listening ear to their work, and/or working on fundamentals to ensure a strong musical foundation.

General Music

General music with Emphasis on Bassoon studies. Primary instrument is bassoon and I have played and taught bassoon for seven years. Lessons include music fundamentals, proper instrument care, scales, rhythmic stability, performance etiquette, music history, history of the wind band and more.

Clarinet

I have played Clarinet for fourteen years and graduated from Carthage College with a major in Instrumental Music in 2010. My primary instrument is bassoon, while Clarinet is my secondary instrument. I provide lessons from beginner to intermediate and can work with basic fundamentals while also providing growth and development across many musical sectors. Music history, history of the wind band, music theory, scales, rhythmic stability, tone, proper instrument care and more.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
