I am a licensed high school mathematics teacher teaching in Porter County, IN. I have been teaching for 12 years and have taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. I can also tutor in Trigonometry and Discrete Mathematics.

The year I taught AP Calculus 16 out of 17 students (94.11%) passed the AP calculus exam; 3 students received scores of 5 (the highest you can get), 5 students received scores of 4, and 8 students received scores of 3.

Last year 30 out of 32 of my Algebra 1 students (93.75%) passed Indiana's Algebra 1 End-of-Course Assessment; 12 students (37.5%) achieved scores at or above the Pass+ level.

I can travel either to the student's home or to an agreed upon location. During the school year I would like to keep tutoring restricted to Monday nights, Wednesday nights, and some Saturdays. During the summer months I can be available any day Monday - Saturday at any reasonable hour.

Algebra 1

I have 11 years of experience teaching High School Algebra 1. Last year, 94% of my students passed the Indiana Algebra 1 End-of-Course Assessment.

Algebra 2

Geometry

I began doing my own web design in 2000 and used it extensively as part of my classroom for many years thereafter. I taught Web Design for three years in my current position as a Mathematics Teacher. I have experience with HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, Cascading Style Sheets, and Search Engine Optimization.

PHP

I began learning PHP several years ago in an effort to write web pages for processing web-based form submissions. This included learning about how to use PHO to write code for accessing databases, sending emails, accessing directory contents, building photo galleries, etc.
