Hi! I have been teaching and tutoring for most of my life...students from preschool age to college. I resigned from teaching when I had my first child. I gave my students 110% and wanted to do the same for my own children, given the opportunity. I chose to stay home. Although, I volunteered quite a bit at school and school activities.

I have a Bachelor & Masters degree in Middle School Education with various certifications and many subjects. I have taught Science, English, Social Studies, Health, Skills for Adolescents, Reading, Math, and just about everything in between. I have also taught the various levels of the subjects including the Gifted & Talented classes, the Mainstream classes, and the Learning Disability classes.

I also have a Bachelors degree in Biology and a Masters degree in Counseling & Guidance. I was a school counselor too. Currently, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Nationally Certified Psychologist with Board Certification.

I love to teach because I truly believe that EVERYONE can learn anything! Everyone learns differently and therefore needs a teaching method to fit them specifically. It is a wonderful feeling when understanding occurs, for both the student and the teacher.

I took two years of high school Spanish and two years of college Spanish. I taught, as a volunteer, Spanish at two elementary schools over the years. I also have successfully tutored students in Spanish from middle school through high school and college level.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have a teaching degree in grades 5 through 9, but I have taught and tutored for over 30 years in grades K-12 as well as volunteered in the elementary schools. I also home-schooled my children for a while, as well as other children in our community, at the elementary level.

I have researched and studied ADD/ADHD as well as taught and tutored ADD/ADHD students for several years. I am also knowledgeable in writing IEP accommodations and objectives for ADD. I have had to become very knowledgeable over the years in order to help my students as well as my own child.
