I am Paul. I graduated from Purdue University in applied mathematics. Afterwards, I worked as a programmer for EPIC system, a healthcare software provider and then returned to Purdue University to get my Master's degree in mathematics. I am currently a full time math instructor at a technical school. I teach Math 135, Finite Mathematics and Math 136, College Algebra. I have been teaching for 6 years. During this time, I have tutored countless students in office hours. I have worked with students from all mathematical abilities and backgrounds.
Over the course of teaching and tutoring students, it is clear to me that every student is unique. The techniques needed to help one student can be completely different than the techniques needed to help another. I have never met a student that I thought was incapable of learning and understanding the material. It is only a matter of finding what the students needs in order to facilitate that learning and understanding.
I have a great rapport with my students due to my professional and friendly attitude. I have always enjoyed helping students and find it very rewarding when students succeed. I am extremely patient, knowledgeable, hardworking, and prepared.
I look forward to seeing and helping everyone!
I teach Finite Mathematics at a Community College in Gary, Indiana.
