Hi,

I am a college senior with experience in English grammar and vocabulary, writing and/or language arts, reading, beginning German, German grammar and syntax, German verb conjugation, math including up to Pre-Algebra, basic 2d and 3d Drawing in pencil and multimedia, beginning music theory and sight reading, sight singing, beginning and intermediate cello instruction, music history (classical), and American Kenpo Karate.

I am excited to expand and further my students in their subjects, and I hope to instill an interest for the subjects that will last beyond the required courses. Many of the subjects that I tutor are very valuable life skills. Many times non-interest in subjects comes from a disconnect of that material from the "real world." Relating the tutoring to skills they can use now will help create and maintain interest in the students.

Sight Singing

I have collegiate sight singing or solfegio training. I have taught this subject on varied occasions.

Cello

I have been playing the cello for over ten years. I have taken private lessons for over eight of those years. I have experience in orchestral, ensemble, and solo performance as well as respective repertoire for those areas of performance. I have taught cello on and off for several years.

Bible Studies

I am currently enrolled as a senior at Hyles-Anderson College, a fundamental Baptist institution. I have written papers on most of the major doctrines of the Bible and am also familiar with many apologetics for the faith.

Drawing

I have drawn for many years. I have never formally taught art; however, my portfolio has been reviewed and commended by two different certified art instructors.

Martial Arts

American Kenpo Karate is the art I have studied the longest. I am currently a black belt, and have had two years of instructor experience. I also have training with various traditional martial art weapons including Katana, Katana & Wakizashi, Fighting Fan, Staff, and Sais.
