I have been working in the field of education since 1986. During this time, I have worked as a K-12 Spanish teacher, college-level Spanish professor, K-8 principal and high school assistant principal in both public and private schools. I have also served as a student teaching supervisor for some local colleges and done private Spanish, English, and computer/technology lessons for a variety of companies and individuals, as well as having worked with ESL and ENL students, teaching them English reading and writing.
I hold a BA degree from a major university, in Spanish and education, an MS degree, and have completed additional graduate work in secondary and elementary reading, computer/technology education, Spanish and English. I am licensed to teach in 5 states, including Indiana. I work full time during the school year as the department chair and lead Spanish teacher at a high school in Indiana, and I work part-time in the evenings teaching at several major universities. I have traveled to Spain, Africa, Mexico and Portugal.
I am married and my wife is an English teacher and published writer. We have three children; our oldest son, who is a special needs person, currently lives in a group home, our daughter is a junior in college, and our youngest son is a junior in high school.
