Hello!
My name is Kristen and I am 22 years old. I am currently a student at Indiana University - Kokomo and I am majoring in biology and chemistry. I have previous tutoring experience in math, up to lower level calculus and am currently in my last semester of math. I have tutored thorough a government funded program that helped unemployed people go back to school and I also occasionally tutor through Indiana University - Kokomo, when needed. I think it is best to learn by attempting examples first and then asking for help once you have tried. It is much easier this way to see where an individual is having problems, instead of explaining parts of the problem to them that they may already understand. Some of the textbooks also have disks that can be useful when going over examples and trying to find problems that cause someone difficulty. I find that I am very patient and I understand that math just does not come to some people as easily as it comes to others. I am currently employed part time and am a full time student, but I will work around your schedule to the best of my abilities. I enjoy tutoring algebra and would be more than happy to help anyone who needs assistance!
