My work as a substitute teacher has given me the opportunity to have a better understanding of the student needs and variety of techniques in teaching a wider range of students. However, my teaching experience as instructional aid really has changed my life. I am more knowledgeable in knowing what works and what does not.
My work as a student teacher allowed me to build strong planning skills. I worked with a diverse student population that was a challenge in learning styles. My student teaching experience was at a four star school.
I taught using the Indiana State Standards and school policies. I created a positive learning environment by designing interactive, technology based activities that engaged students and provided problem solving solutions.
I tutored 2 students for 2 years. Their letter grades went up a whole letter grade in each subject.
