I teach advanced theory and other advanced music classes at Hyles-Anderson College and also run our school orchestra and teach all of our instrument methods classes. I have basic playing ability on most instruments and have played piano since an early age. I currently play string bass in our church orchestra. I also tutor math on several levels. I have studied conducting with several local conductors and truly love working with music and musicians!

I teach Advanced Theory at the college level as well as several piano lessons. I also run an orchestra and teach instrument methods classes there. I can teach any aspect of general music.

Music History

I have taught music history on a college level for five years, from a classical as well as a Christian perspective. I am especially competent in the period from 1600-1950 (Modern Western music) and am quite familiar with the three hundred years preceding that.

Piano

I have played the piano since I was six years old and have taken lessons from graduates of several prestigious music schools. I now teach private lessons at every level from beginner to early advanced. I am especially familiar with teaching from a classical or a Gospel music perspective, but I am also competent in teaching from a popular music perspective.
