I am a retired elementary teacher with 30 years experience in the classroom.
As an elementary teacher, I taught all subjects areas including Reading/Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies.
I taught in Crawfordsville City Schools and North Montgomery School Corporation.
Currently, I work part-time as an adjunct instructor for Indiana Wesleyan University.
After spending the past 40+ years working with children and adults, I am convinced that each learner brings a unique array of differences to the learning experience. I feel it is the challenge of the teacher to discover the uniqueness of the individual and craft lessons specifically to fit that child's needs and modality in order for the best learning to occur.
My past experience is unusual in that I worked 30 years directly with the children, and the past 8 years with teachers who teach the children. Courses I currently instruct include Brain-Based Learning, Multiple Intelligences, Differentiated Instruction, and Reading Across the Curriculum.
My most important qualification is that I love kids!
