As a recent graduate of Indiana University who is passionate about helping people, talking to people, and solving problems, I am a perfect candidate to be your tutor. I am currently 21 years of age with a Psychology major/Gender Studies minor with a Bachelor of Arts. One day after I graduate from graduate school, I aspire to be either a clinical therapist, sports psychologist, or substance abuse therapist.
Last summer I worked at SCO Family of Services which was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. On a daily basis I supervised autistic individuals at all ages and taught them problem solving tasks to help fit into society and give advice as much as possible. In addition, I coordinated daily schedules, motivated, and helped the overall well being of autistic individuals daily. Finally, I tutored and taught these autistic individuals with general knowledge and learning new sports as well as helping with homework assignments.
I have been told that I have an amazing personality. What I am trying to say is that I am an extremely outgoing, talkative, friendly, funny, nice, patient, caring, and selfless person who only wants to help people achieve their goals and succeed. I will do whatever it is humanly possible to help out anyone in need and find profound enjoyment in doing it.
Lastly, I would like to consider myself a great athlete. Throughout High School I have played nine years of varsity sports. I played 4 years of varsity football, 2 years of varsity basketball, 2 years of varsity volleyball, and 1 year of varsity track and field. I would have to say that football is my best sport even thought I am a versatile athlete and was offered to play on several division 3 football teams. During my 4 years at Indiana University, I have played club football, basketball, volleyball, and baseball as well as doing strength and condition training 4 times and week at the gym. Something rare about me that I am very proud of is that I have played chess since I was 4 years old and love the sport. I play nation wide in tournaments across the country in multiple states and greatly enjoy playing and teaching the game.
I am currently working with SCO Family of Services which involves me working with individuals with special needs on a daily basis. I have been working there for almost a year now so I have a great amount of experience with kids who have special needs. I am very friendly, patient, talkative, fun, funny, kind, and caring person who loves helping individuals with any needs or difficulties he or she faces. Also, my cousin who I am extremely close to has severe special needs so I have had a lot of experience working with him as well as having profound sympathy for people with special needs and get a lot of enjoyment in helping in any way possible.
