Good day,
I am a very well rounded person who has had a vast array of experiences in life. After high school at Burris Laboratory School in Muncie, I enlisted in the Us Marine Corps, working at a radio operator. I had many highlights in us armed forces career, including, as the the picture shows, meeting TV news legend Dan Rather in downtown Baghdad Iraq in 2003. After the Marines, I enrolled at Ball State University and studied Telecommunications and History, both passions I still hold today. I quickly became interested in helping people and my attentions were turned to public safety. I became a firefighter, reserve county sheriff's deputy, and a paramedic. My current employment is as a paramedic in Marion county. These experiences and my lifelong passion for learning and for teaching has helped make me the person I am today. To date I have trained and certified well over 75 firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians, as well as done tutoring with fellow firefighters and co-workers children. I will do my best to not only improve your child's grades, but make sure that they truly understand the material, and take that thirst for knowledge with them throughout life.

Swimming

I began taking swimming lessons when I was 5 years old, and I am still a very strong swimmer. I believe being a competent swimmer is a skill that every person should have. Currently I am a certified rescue diver on my fire department.

Baseball

I am a lifelong fan and student of the game. I played 2 years as a starter of varsity baseball. I have over 13 years total baseball playing experience. I believe that in order to play well you must be mentally and fundamentally sound. My teaching focuses on both the mental and physical aspects of the game.

Trombone

I have played Trombone since the third grade (1993) and have continued to do so. I am proficient in sight reading of music.

Video Production

My major at Ball State Univ. was video production. I am well versed in both linear and digital editing as well as the art of story telling through visual cues. I have also taken several classes in lighting and audio mixing and management. I have had videos I produced air on television news programs.

Pharmacology

I am a nationally registered and Indiana state licensed Paramedic. My schooling was centered around pharmacology, including how medicines work inside the human body. My career depends on my full understanding of this subject.

Criminal Justice

I was a reserve county Sheriff's deputy and hence became versed in many aspects of criminal justice, as well as have taken criminal justice classes while attending Ball State University.
