Hello and thanks for visiting my profile! My name is Emily and I am currently a college junior, studying Communication at Carthage College in Kenosha. I transferred there after spending two years at Iowa State University studying Food Science, so you could definitely say I'm knowledgeable on a wide variety of subject matters! :)
I am tutoring primarily elementary school students in 2nd-8th grade in most subjects, although my primary focus is English, including reading, grammar, phonics, etc. I also tutor for ACT English and Reading Prep (My scores were 36/36 and 33/36, respectively).
I would describe myself as a caring and responsible individual who loves to see others succeed, so I would definitely be an asset in supplementing your child's learning experience. I have taught children ages 5-14 before in both one-on-one and classrooms settings for religious education and youth group education. Although I have never tutored professionally before (hence my low rates!), I hope to make a positive impact on my students and provide them with quality skills that they can continue to use throughout their education.
