I am a qualified educator and while still in College I started working in a private school, tutoring children with learning problem. That experience thought me to be very patience and to bring out the best from each student, finding a different approach of teaching for each of them.
Once a week teachers and we educators shared our experiences and made plan for the following weeks. I enjoyed working as a team.
Also I have always been eager to learn new languages and cultures. I spent few months in Greece after having achieved a scholarship and there I obtained a contract as translator by a private institute. It allowed me to share my love for literature making authors known in other languages.
After graduation I kept working as a Latin and Italian tutor.
Eventually, coming to the States, I had the great opportunity to teach Italian, Latin and Modern Greek at the Anne Arundel Community College in Annapolis, MD. It was a very formative and exciting experience and I understood that this is the career I would like to pursue.
Following my husband’s military move to MacDill AFB, I continued instructing Italian Language at University of South Florida. Once again, this was a fulfilling experience that ended only because of another move.
I am very interested in working as a tutor again.
I look forward to hearing from you.
