I have 17 years of experience in business. Prior to that, I did career coaching in college and university settings, as well as the not-for-profit sector. I utilize about 15 different assessment tools [3 - 5 per user], and come up with specific recommendations regarding exciting and fulfilling career paths, as well as some contacts in those kinds of firms. I have unusual talent fir discerning the gifts, skills and passions of individuals, and helping them plan a satisfying and fulfilling career direction.
I am an intuitive listener and attempt to evaluate the learning style of each person with whom I work. Once I am clear about learning style, I can formulate comments and questions in ways in which they can more readily understand. I use an affirming style, but also ask the difficult and uncomfortable questions so that the individuals has an somewhat objective view of them selves, i.e., how others might perceive them.
I have helped individuals and firms identify their KPI's [key performance indicators - what it is they want to measure], and then recommended a combination of them to bring relevant information to the feedback discussion. I have re-invented myself in four different careers, so it is one of the skill area of which I am most proud.
