Hello!
My name is Jill, and I’m very excited that you have taken the time to read my introduction.
A little about me. I hold a Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa in Bio-Chem/Pre-Med with an English Minor. I also obtained my teaching certification from Trinity Christian in Biology, Chemistry, and English. I am currently working on my Masters in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
My style of teaching is very much a hands-on, pro-active type. I enjoy interacting with students, and using what they already know as a springboard to help them build and learn. Every subject is different, and my style adjusts to each subject.
I am well-versed in the areas of ACT/SAT prep, being able to guide a student to the right areas of study and knowing what to place emphasis on.
Most students enjoy the time that they spend with me, and I feel that they leave with a better understanding and grasp of the subject matter than when we started.
I hope that I can instill in students a life-long love of learning, and that through my help, we can open a world of opportunities for them.
