I also teach a course to teachers of our district entitled "Unlearning Indian Stereotypes". In addition, I teach Grammar and Conversational Spanish at the College of Dupage as an adjunct instructor for the past six years. I am a teacher of multiracial background and a Native speaker of Spanish. My multiracial background enables me to provide a unique learning opportunity for my students.
I personally incorporate multiple language teaching methodologies to facilitate language learning and acquisition. Under my guidance language learning is an enjoyable and cultural experience. I hold a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology, a Masters' of Science -in- Instruction, Bilingual Bi-cultural Education, as well as a High School Spanish endorsement in Illinois and Arizona. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
