Hello to all,
My name is Dave. To learn more about my title...read on.
I've been involved in the graphics arts industry for many decades, from traditional photo methods, on through to the digital age. With roots in high-end photo retouching, drum-scanning, film output and color management, I've had an insider's view of the graphic arts business.
If you would like to learn how to enhance your Photoshop skills, or even if you're just a beginner, I can help you obtain the highest quality image available with tricks and tips that I've picked up along the way. I am a rarity in today's competitive climate: a seasoned professional that enjoys passing along knowledge of digital imaging.
As for the title, Digital Dave's Darkroom...it refers to transition from old-school to new technologies and ideas. It also has 3-D's in it... as in 3-D photography!
I specialize in 3-D stereo wedding photography and 3-D printing solutions. It's like ViewMaster on steroids. I can teach you how to shoot, process and print 3-D images as a valuable asset to your existing wedding photography packages.
Thank you for your consideration,
I've been a part in the graphics arts industry in Chicago for many years, from traditional photo methods, on through to the digital age. With roots in high-end photo retouching, drum-scanning, film output and color management, I've had an insider's view of the graphic arts business. I've been involved, either technically or artistically, with most of the bigger advertising agencies in Chicago and many top corporations.
This year, I'm celebrating playing guitar for forty years!
I've usually played 12-string acoustic material, but this last year, I went "All Bob Dylan" and bought an American Stratocaster to rock it a little more!
My "wheelhouse" is in rhythm guitar training for the beginner and intermediate guitar player. I prefer classic rock, blues, folk, and some country songs, especially the early southern-rock standards.
I'm a great ear teacher and I can teach you many tips and tricks, so you can play most any song in your library and pick up the chords.
I'm not a technical teacher...you won't have to learn scales. I like to play guitar like Briscoe Darlin played the jug on the classic Andy Griffith Show: "Just jump in where you can and hang on!"
Let's Have Fun!
Knowledgeable & Patient — David is a professional who hones his skills daily on his job. I am a self-taught, but fairly serious amateur. He patiently showed me better and more precise ways to accomplish my goals in Photoshop. Our session was exactly what I had hoped for. It opened my eyes to new ways of working with a very complex tool. ...
