I am an English teacher in my 9th year of teaching. I have taught students aged 9 through 18 in my capacity as a certified teacher. I teach 8th grade LA and Advanced LA and have taught 9th and 10th grades, as well as 4th grade, in the past. I am a gifted actress and musician, published writer and blogger. I have worked on professional editing pools, and have copy-edited my college newspaper. I have also co-sponsored a creative writing club for high school students and have been a drama assistant at the high school level. Beyond teaching English, I am also certified to teach music. Additionally, I have taught English to adult non-native speakers and have tutored Psychology and Education-related courses.
My students are consistently high-performers, often outperforming the students of my colleagues by as much as 50% on standardized tests. Not only am I skilled at working with students with learning difficulties, I am adept at working with gifted and twice-exceptional students.
