My name is Tanya and I just relocated to the area to be closer to family and pursue my Master's Degree in Child Development. I'm 37 years old and I have been a Nanny for ten years now. In my capacity as a Nanny, I have had several opportunities to work with children of all ages. I have experience teaching toddlers how to recognize and write their letters and numbers and basic words. I also have helped older children with their homework and am well versed in many different subjects.
I have an infinite amount of patience when it comes to helping children, and this has helped me work successfully with those who have special needs, ADD/ADHD, and other learning disabilities. Sometimes children with these difficulties just need that little something extra to help them along, whether that be someone who is just a bit more patient with them, or someone who can help make the lesson come alive enough that the children find it fun and want to keep doing it.
As for me, I'm a very easy-going and friendly person. In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing stories which I hope to have published some day. I like going to concerts and movies, taking walks, swimming, reading, photography, and exploring.
