Currently I am attending DePaul Univeristy's Masters of Education in Elementary Education and Special Education Dual Certification Program. I will complete this program in May with additional endorsements in Social Sciences: History, Psychology, Geography, etc. and Visual Arts at the middle school level.
My undergraduate education focused in Child Psychology, Art History & Design, and Urban and International Education Development. I received my Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University in June 2010.
My professional experiences in Education include working with students ages 5-10 and special education students in the following capacities:
Special Education Paraprofessional 2nd-4th grade students in District 48: please note this is my current position while I complete my master's program at DePaul University.
1:1 Aide for an Autistic student in SASED: Special Education Coop for DuPage County.
Professional Educator for a junior kindergarten (half-day kindergarten)in Bartlett, IL.
My instruction style is differentiated per students' needs. I strive to create a positive learning environment by introducing positive systems to help students retain information and learn the material. In addition, I strive to maintain strong communication between myself and the student and/or parent. This allows for updated progress and techniques that can assist the student outside of tutoring sessions to be thoroughly discussed and explored.
