Currently I am attending DePaul Univeristy's Masters of Education in Elementary Education and Special Education Dual Certification Program. I will complete this program in May with additional endorsements in Social Sciences: History, Psychology, Geography, etc. and Visual Arts at the middle school level.

My undergraduate education focused in Child Psychology, Art History & Design, and Urban and International Education Development. I received my Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University in June 2010.

My professional experiences in Education include working with students ages 5-10 and special education students in the following capacities:

I am currently pursuing my Masters in Elementary Education and Special Education. I am one semester from student teaching and have taken a variety of Methodologies and Curriculum Studies classes in Elementary Curriculum. In addition I currently work for an Illinois School District and am very familiar with curriculum, state standards, academic progress methods, and standardized test requirements.

I have worked extensively with both the Michael Heggerty, Dolch, and Wilson programs in the areas of Phonemic Awareness. Additionally I have completed two graduate courses in Instructional Methods (teaching methods) for Beginner Readers and Reading Development.

I have developed study seminars for incoming freshmen and returning adult students for DePaul University and the University of North Texas. I have worked with, and currently work with, students with special needs; primarily students diagnosed with Downs Syndrome, Autism, ADD, and ADHD. In addition to working with special needs students daily I have also attended continuing education/professional development seminars on the following: Asperger's, Autism, Sensory Disorders, Downs Syndrome, and Attention Deficit Disorder.
