Hi, my name is Terri. I feel education for kids is very important. I was an honor roll student in high school but English, Writing,and Reading were always my favorites in school. In grade school, I took great pride but a lot of teasing from other kids because I was always in a higher grade class for English and Spelling skills.
In High School, I was in "Social Science Practicum",in which I was bussed to an elementary school every day to help the 2nd and 3rd graders with English and Reading Skills. We focused on Spelling words and dictionary meaning of the words, and also concentrated knowing antonyms and synonyms of certain words so the children learned the differences of each word used.
After High School, I used that knowledge by being a teacher's aide at a daycare.
I worked with children ages 2-5, preparing them for kindergarten, and motor skills required by State board. Although I never returned to school for an official certification, I feel I am qualified in the above listed areas.
I am in sincere hopes that I will be considered for the position for which I have applied for.I do have a cancellation policy of four hours. You will be charged if I am not called or emailed within that time frame. The reason for this is that I spend a lot of preparing for each lesson, and I do plan ahead.
