I enjoy helping students figure out how they learn best. Each student, whether they are in second grade or college, learns differently and can succeed in the classroom when they are given the right tools. Even students who regularly do stellar work in class may have a subject that they just don't 'get', and they might just need to look at it from a different perspective to get them back on track.
I earned my MAT in 2010 and will soon be certified to teach K-8 in Illinois. Language Arts, Science, History, Art, Study Skills and basic math are all areas I feel confident tutoring. I do have experience working with ADD/ADHD and BD children, and find that I enjoy working with these students greatly.
I am able to travel to your home or, preferably, to the local library and I am willing to negotiate my fee.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
About Me: I live in St. Charles with my husband, Todd and our 22 month old boy, Keaton. I had just finished my MAT when I gave birth, and I decided to stay home with my son as much as possible. In order to do that, I put off getting a full time teaching job and I am now tutoring as much as possible, as well as doing some freelance graphic design - my prior career. I also enjoy hanging out with our dog, taking lots of photographs, creating mixed-media art, and attempting to make gluten-free recipes.
