In my two years of experience teaching adult learners through The Literacy Council in Rockford, Illinois, I have acquired over 500 hours of ESL classroom experience. I am also comfortable working with students individually and have an achieved an additional 400 hours of one-on-one ESL and Adult Basic Education (ABE) volunteer tutoring. In that capacity, I have worked with a diverse population of students whose native languages have include Spanish, Mandarin, and Bosnian. My enthusiasm and dedication to my students is what provides the foundation for my career in teaching.
