Hello, thank you for taking a moment to learn about me! Currently, I work full time as a special education resource teacher at an elementary school (grades 2-5). I have six years of special education middle school experience having worked in many classrooms helping students of all ability levels in math, science, reading, and study skills. Three years ago, I decided to pursue my master's degree in education. My student teaching was at the elementary level in a resource classroom and then a self-contained classroom working with students with various learning challenges. I have recently graduated with my Master of Science Education degree with an emphasis in Special Education (LBS1) and endorsements in Language Arts and general Science. My undergraduate degree is in Communicative Disorders (Speech Pathology/Audiology) which I received from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. I am also a mother of three. My oldest is 26 years old and recently completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. My oldest son, 24 years old, is a full time firefighter and my youngest is 18 years old and a college freshman. Teaching is my passion and my full time career. My greatest moments are those where I can see students succeed and feel confident!
