I taught for 10+ years, and I can provide references of students I have tutored in the past and am currently tutoring if you are interested. I tutor at all levels, including honors and advanced placement (A.P.)students. Math, specific computer programs (which I've listed in my profile), and Greek language are my 'specialties', but I also tutor in different areas of English. I am a registered substitute teacher, registered for Kindergarten through 12th grade.

I have a great relationship with the students I tutor. I am their friend; however, I am very firm and stick to certain 'rules'. For example, I stand firm on restricting the use of a calculator for what I consider basic math calculations. If a fourth grader can do the math in their head, than I expect someone in grades 5 through 12 to be able to do the same! If they can't carry on these basic math functions without a calculator, than this is something I need to work on with them!

I love tutoring, and I take each child as a personal reflection of what I can teach them. I treat them as if I were teaching one of my own kids. I am very serious about what I do!
