I graduated magna cum laude with honors from Illinois State University with a bachelor's degree in secondary mathematics education in 2011. I taught trigonometry and algebra 2 to high school juniors in the far north suburbs of Chicago for the past two years. I am currently attending DePaul University to pursue my master's degree in applied statistics. I have tutored students of varying levels and ages for more than six years. While I specialize in high school and college level mathematics, I have had success tutoring elementary and middle school students as well. I have experience working with ACT College Readiness Standards and have been successful improving the ACT scores of students. In first tutoring sessions with students I use a variety of methods to figure out the needs of my clients and use this information to make informed decisions about the best course of action. I recognize that not all students learn in the same way and therefore I use a variety of methods and representations to help my students learn in a way that works for them.
