Photography is my passion.
I began taking snapshots and doing dark room work at age 9, pictures by age 14 and photographs at 19.
I have been Chief Photographer for a national publication. My published work includes many professional journals and textbooks.
Apart from the mechanical functions necessary to capture a subject photographically, my years of shooting have taught me that photography is a creative and emotional experience. The "photograph" is an extension of the photographers eye and heart. All that being said, there is no such thing as a bad photo, only another point of view. Each photograph is as unique as the photographer.
Depending on the level of the student, the curriculum includes discussions on composition, lighting, exposure, lens selection, and camera mechanics. Also discussed at length will the students own prints.
Is photography art or science? - A question that always provides for a spirited discussion.
