Every year as a classroom teacher I have enjoyed having students with ADD/ADHD. While some teachers find them challenging, I find that they are very bright, and often have a hard time channeling their energy in the right direction. Students with ADD/ADHD need a patient person to teach them coping strategies for success in the regular classroom. In addition they may need modifications such as tasks broken down, a schedule, frequent breaks, motivators, additional movement during work time, etc.
