I am currently a junior at Saint Louis University majoring in Biology, minoring in Psychology and Medical Humanities and on the premedical track. My strong academic record and passion for math and science reflect my interest in wanting to tutor students in these subjects. The passion and dedication I have for these subjects motivates me to want to help others develop this same passion in their future. My tutoring style focuses on direct interaction and practice. I do not believe in lecturing; rather I believe in equal amounts of participation on both my part and the student's. My tutoring will also focus on working on both the strengths and weaknesses in a subject area, for a student. Looking at strengths will not only motivate the student to work on their weaknesses in hopes that they will become future strengths, but they will also provide the student with confidence to do so. I hope that I have the opportunity to carry out my tutoring ideas and impact a student's view of math and science in a positive way.
