I love teaching. I can be helpful to any willing student in physics, algebra, pre-calculus, trigonometry, ACT and SAT preparation at all levels, middle school, high school and college. I have a PhD in physics. I have been teaching Math and Physics at colleges in Texas and Illinois for 24 years and tutoring both since my high school years.

After I missed quite a few days I needed some catching up for an honors physics exam; Sel is great at explaining concepts thoroughly and works through each problem step by step and he has helped me throughout the semester. As far as meetings go he is very flexible on time and locations.

I contacted Sel after I had failed my first college physics test. I honestly didn't think I was going to be able to pick up the material, but Sel was persistent in his teachings. He never once gave up his faith in my abilities and was constantly trying new techniques to help me learn. He was professional, prepared, and easy to understand. My teacher was impressed with my continuous improvement throughout the semester with not only my test scores, but also my homework. With Sel's help I was able to pass the class with an A! If you are looking for a tutor, don't pass him up!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I practiced ACT Math with my three sons and with some of their friends. I enjoyed the challenge. I collected over the years ACT tests and sample questions from ACT web site. I used to solve them just for fun with my sons. I am sure that I have the experience and willingness to help my students in how to think and reason to succeed in ACT Math tests.

I can teach any subject in Algebra at middle school, high school and college levels. I can be helpful in homework assignments and solving problems. But I emphasize understanding the subjects. For that purpose, I lead my students to thinking and reasoning while I am teaching.

I can not promise that I would solve every problems a student might have, but I promise that she/he will learn how to approach a problem, how to think logically and methodically to solve it.

My students' success is my responsibility. My responsibility will not be suspended at the end of a tutoring session. I will be available for further followup by any means of communications.

I have been teaching physics and math at college level for more than 24 years. I can teach at middle school and high school levels also. My three sons and friends' children have been my students over the years. I can help my students with homework assignments. But I emphasize understanding the subjects. I lead my students to think and reason logically while I teach so that they can solve problems by themselves during a test, for instance.

I can not promise that I would solve every problems a student might have, but I promise that she/he will learn how to approach a problem and how to think methodically to solve it.

My student's success is my success. My teaching will not be limited to tutoring sessions. I will be available for my students at any time by any means of communications.

I have a PhD in physics, and I have been teaching it at the college level for 24 years. I did teach at middle and high school levels to my sons and children of friends.

I can be helpful in homework problems and explaining subjects. But I emphasize that my students learn and practice how to think and solve problems by logical and methodical reasoning.

I cannot promise that I will solve every single problem a student might have, but I promise that she/he will learn and acquire confidence by learning the subjects.

I can teach any subject in algebra and at any level, middle school, high school or college. I can be helpful in homework assignments and solving problems. But I emphasize understanding the subjects. For that purpose, I lead my students to think and to reason while I teach.

I can not promise that I would solve every problems a student might have, but I promise that she/he will learn how to approach a problem, how to think logically and methodically to solve it.

I care about my students' success. My teaching duty will not end at the end of a tutoring session. I will be available for followup help by any means of communication.

I teach math and physics at a college in a Western suburb. I have my PhD in physics but since math is the language of science, I learned and practiced (and taught)it throughout of my career.

While I teach, I emphasize understanding and grasping the subjects along with solving problems. I challenge my students to think and reason. This way they become problem solver themselves.

I am also willing to be available for further help if necessary outside the tutoring periods.

I enjoyed the challenge of SAT when I practiced it with my three sons and with some of their friends. I have a collection of SAT tests. I used to solve the "question of the day" on the SAT web site just for fun. I am sure that I will be helpful to my students in how to "think outside the box" to succeed in SAT.

For more than 24 years, I have been teaching physics and math at college level. Four of those years have been specifically for trigonometry. I can teach at middle school and high school levels also, as I have done so for my three sons and friends' children. I emphasize understanding the subjects while helping with homework assignments or any problems. For that purpose, I lead my students to thinking and reasoning while I am teaching.

I cannot promise that I will solve every problem a student might have, but I promise that she/he will learn how to approach a problem and how to think logically and methodically to solve it.

I do my best for my students to succeed. I will be available for my students any time by any means of communication for follow-ups.
