I have over 20 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language both in the United States and overseas. I have enjoyed working in academic intensive English programs, training international business executives, as well as teaching survival skills in adult education programs. I have tutored individuals and small groups of all ages who have a variety of goals. I have taught in China and Japan, and have experience helping students from countless other countries. I love learning about other cultures and languages.
I teach all skills that the learner needs to improve their communication skills in English. My areas of specialty include helping improve listening and speaking skills while focusing on pronunciation and "communication repair" strategies. I also help learners strengthen their foundation of English grammar and their ability to write effectively in English.
The hourly rate decreases when we meet more than two hours a week.
