As a biochemistry major, I have a thorough understanding of biology and chemistry, with the ability to help students relate to and easily understand difficult concepts. In high school I helped children work through reading difficulties, in addition to holding tutoring sessions for fellow students in chemistry, biology and anatomy. Elementary (K-6th)

My first students were a brother and sister in 3rd and 4th grade. I helped them with homework and preparing for the ISAT exams. In addition to that, I was a reading buddy for a few years at the local library. Over the years, I've tutored a number of elementary students mostly in math and writing, along with ISAT preparation. I've learned that a little patience and understanding goes a long way with younger students. As long as you can keep them focused, you can have a very productive session.
