Hello!
This year, I will be a college sophomore at the University of Illinois. I graduated from Carmel Catholic High School in 2012. My goal is to major in Mathematics and become a high school math teacher. Throughout high school, math was always my strongest subject, and I aced every math course I took - Algebra 2 Honors, Geometry Honors, Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry Honors, AP Calculus, and AP Statistics. I even received the Department Award in Mathematics my senior year. I received 5s on my AP Calculus, AP Statistics, and AP Psychology exams this past year - on a scale from 1-5, 5 is the highest possible. As part of National Honor Society during my junior and senior years, I tutored many students in a variety of Math courses, as well as Physics and Psychology. I was able to help their grades improve due to my patience, dedication, and ability to clearly express concepts. During my freshmen year at the university, I aced my Calculus 2, Calculus 3, and Matrix Theory mathematics courses. In addition, I tutored 38 hours at the local high school in math classes (during the school day), where high-needs kids struggled with mathematical concepts. I was able to help them work through their difficulties and ease some of their stress.
I would be happy to offer my assistance!
-Cam
