ACT/SAT MATH SPECIALIST
I am not an ordinary teacher. I will leave the wholesome approach in an education to your beloved school teachers, who I am sure doing a wonderful job. My sole objective is to raise your child's ACT/SAT math scores on the day that matters. My comments during the lessons will be bold. I will say things that teachers will never say if that will raise the score. For example, I will tell your child to rip a scratch paper and use it as a ruler to measure geometry figure in the test if they are stuck because figures in ACT are scaled with certain exceptions. I will expose your child to all test-taking tactics to unlock their full potentials and some more.
I have ranked top 2% nationally in Korean College Admissions Test. You think those Asian kids in your child's high school are good with math? Try those kids in Korea who go to school at 6 AM and go home at 12 AM without weekends. I was one of them, and I managed to be top 2% nationally there. We are trained to score high on the standardized tests day and night because that one test a year WILL literally change how we live the rest of our lives. I will lecture on all that I have learned in that jungle of standardized tests.
I have Juris Doctor (law) degree from Loyola University Chicago. (I have a reason for doing this now. Your child might be the very last one that I tutor) I also have an experience in teaching ACT math in a classroom setting to students with very poor performance. The record improvement of my students is score 15 (You will get this score if you pick one number throughout) to 24 (above average in Loyola and DePaul). Last but not the least, I have multiple years of experience as Director of Admissions in an University. I will be able to share insider views of college admissions.
