Dear Parent:
I'd like to share a little about myself with you. I am 50 years old, very happily married for almost 14 years. Together, my husband and I have an 8 yr old daughter who has severe ADHD and mild autism. I have an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Phoenix. I obtained this degree while working full time, homeschooling my daughter, and still graduated with a 3.72 GPA.
I want to help your child. I love teaching kids and watching the light bulb turn on. I think that every child is capable of learning anything they want to, it's just a question of figuring out how to teach them. My 8 year old daughter was unable to function well in a normal public school classroom. She needed that little extra attention and thinking outside the box to succeed. I homeschool her now and the school district is amazed at the progress she has made since last year when they wanted to place her in the Special Ed classroom. We use computer software, websites, hands on work, a Smart Globe, and my Nook. I think that learning should be fun, not a chore!
We can meet at the library, your home, or on Skype. I'm very flexible. I've even done lessons at Starbucks! Give your child the chance to succeed where others have failed him or her!
Looking forward to meeting you and working together.
Kim M.
