Highly Qualified Portrait & Sports Photographer

My name is Scott and I'm a soccer dad who has pursued my passion for photography well beyond taking pics of my three kids. One company I work for involves taking school portraits at grade schools, junior highs and high schools. I aslo shoot high school sports and activities about 2-3 times a week (concerts, plays, groups, assemblies, etc.). For a second company, I shoot graduation ceremonies at high school and college level. I also shoot marathons, senior portraits, First Communions and youth sporting events.

I love creating DVD slide shows and custom photo books of my images for my clients. I'm proficient in Lightroom, Photoshop Elements, ProShow Gold, FotoFusion and Picasa.

In my various jobs, I utilize Canon and Nikon equipment extensively as well as some gear from other manufacturers. I'm also well versed in PCs and Macs (including IOS devices such as iPhones, iPads and iTouches).

As a parent myself, I appreciate how important photos of their children are to parents. I enjoy helping parents learn about their photography gear and taking great shots of their kids.

Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop is an awesome tool to manipulate and improve photos. In portraits, you can enhance eyes, skin, hair, teeth, even slim down waistlines and other body parts. It's easy to move people and objects within an image or even to another image altogether. Adding text and borders in creative ways is no problem. This program offers an incredible amount of creative potential!

Adobe Lightroom

I use Lightroom for processing 100% of my RAW images. Only a small number require further tweaking in Photoshop. Lightroom is fast, robust and easy to use. The ability to recover blown highlights or underexposed shadows can be a true lifesaver. And all the edits are non-destructive which means you can easily make additional changes later on. I highly recommend this tool for making your images reach their full potential with minimal time spent at the computer.
