I have a Bachelor's of Science from California Institute of Technology (CIT), an incredibly challenging university.

My teaching style is one of:

* EXPLAINING to teach what students need, in ways they can understand and remember!

Calculus

I love this subject and am extremely competent teaching it.

I have dozens of creative ways to help students get past their barriers in understanding it.

Geometry

I'm very capable in this subject - proof-based geometry requires students to think like mathematicians or lawyers.

I already have a mathematicians' intuitions, and I know so many ways to push students to greater understanding.

Study Skills

I recently received teacher training at a commercial tutoring center.

They are experts at teaching study skills for the long-term; I have been applying these methods for the past few months, with dramatic results.

These methods include:
* Taking notes, and having students follow along, copying the full notes for themselves.

Discrete Math

I completed a Discrete math course (included formal logic, graph theory, etc.) in college, and computer science courses that handled automata theory, finite state machine, etc.

Differential Equations

I completed a semester course on Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE's) at Caltech.

My course textbook was Elementary Differential Equations, by Boyce & DiPrima

My recent tutoring experience has been in working with the Wronskian, the method of Variation of Parameters

Linear Algebra

I covered higher-dimensional Linear Algebra and Matrix Theory in these courses:
Vector Calculus / Calculus III at University of Arkansas, Fayetteville; and Math 1b and Math 2a at Caltech (California Institute of Technology), Pasadena, CA.
