I have been as a math tutor for more than 5 years for most mathematics level including Basic Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Business Mathematics and Calculus.
In order to have students better understand their teachers’ classes, I teach students based on their teachers’ notes or their textbooks. It is evident that the students I gave them tutoring had been achieving great improvement in past years since I have methods to let them make progress in math.
My specialization is helping students obtain high scores if they understand basic concepts and methods their teachers have covered in class. I am also good at explaining basic mathematics concepts and methods to students since it is my responsibility to help them better understand their teachers' classes and continue being successful in following level math courses' studying.
My teaching philosophy is a good teacher must have very thorough knowledge in the fields they are teaching; they should be high responsible to their students they tutor; they should be able to teach students no matter which level or background of their students have been in.
In fact,I had been a teacher and taught intermediate level, college level and contest level math courses for 10 years before I traveled to America from China; in addition to my more than 5-year tutoring experience in U.S.,I believe you will not be worry about if you can make improvement in math studying or not.
