Hello! My name is Nashrah, and I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a major in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Furthermore, I graduated as the salutatorian of my high school class in 2007. I wish to include these facts because I want to assure you that your child's education is in good hands. I am smart, engaging, easy to talk to, and I genuinely want to do a good job teaching your children. I have tutored students throughout high school and college - meaning I have over eight years of experience! I can tutor in a range of subjects including ACT prep, English, Math, Science, and History. Elementary (K-6th)

Tutoring young students requires two skills: creativity and patience. Not only do you have to teach your students the material, but you have to present it in a manner which will captivate their interest. I know this firsthand based on my experiences teaching children in college through the REACT Program. Through this program, I traveled to local elementary schools and taught students science through orchestrating experiments and devising creative lesson plans. In addition to teaching science, I am also able to teach any other subject needed. I work extremely well with children and can make learning fun!

MCAT

I took the MCAT in July, 2010 and scored in the 30 range. Furthermore, I gained entry into Dartmouth Medical School, one of the most prestigious medical schools in the nation. The MCAT can be a daunting examination, but with my help, students can confront the challenge with confidence and skill.

Organic Chemistry

I minored in chemistry at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Here, I received excellent marks in all of my chemistry courses including organic chemistry. Furthermore, my research thesis focused on understanding the organic chemical properties of the anti-fungal drug Amphotericin B.

Tennis

In addition to my academic pursuits, I also offer tennis lessons. I have been playing tennis since I was nine years old. When I was in high school, I played first singles and second doubles on the junior varsity and the varsity team. Moreover, I have placed in several competitions. Based on my background, I believe that I would be a valuable instructor for anyone wanting to learn tennis.

Great Tutor Nashrah tutored me in a 100 level Chemistry class. She presented material to me very clearly and if I was having trouble getting something we'd just keep practicing until I got it. Very easy to work with and easy to get in contact with regarding scheduling our sessions. Highly recommend! ...
