I have several years of experience designing online test preparation programs for the ASVAB, as well as the AF0QT.
NOTE: I am frequently asked if this is part of the ASVAB...the answer is a resounding "NO." However, its understandable when a student/parent confuses the two exams. This is NOT the AFQT (four core sections of the ASVAB..
The Airforce Officer Qualifying Test includes a personalized test preparation study plan reviewing the following exam components:
I have worked with students for years in their preparation for taking the ASVAB exam and their subsequent enlistment into their chosen branch of the military. While I do I have plenty of knowledge in electronics and mechanics, my tutoring methods focus on the four core sections (AFQT):
In addition to instructional design, curriculum development, and online test preparation programs, I have extensive experience in college counseling and planning.
There is NO FEE for this particular service, and is not limited to current students. I offer complimentary assistance in the creation of an Academic Road-map for any/all students who request advice and guidance (all grade levels) and work with prospective/current college-level students in designing their school's program-specific Degree Completion Plan. While an academic plan is essential for ALL learners, it is CRUCIAL and FINANCIALLY BENEFICIAL when enrolled in any tuition-based institute of higher education.
My knowledge of accredited programs/requirements spans from the local community college, to the nationwide public university and beyond. Furthermore, I enjoy helping ALL LEARNERS in selecting the most cost-effective alternatives to satisfy general education requirements.
I specialize in online test preparation and am currently working with several students who are preparing to take the GED. I
The tutoring I do takes place online, including all test preparation. I can provide a sample ACT test prep study plan to give you a better idea of how it works. ton=1
GED Test Prep content as it relates to the exam:
***Language Arts (Reading)***

The non-fiction selections will come from two of the following genres: nonfiction prose, critical reviews of the visual or performing arts, or workplace and community documents.

I charge $30.00, which covers an entire WEEK of test preparation: A typical student opts for a month-long study program, however, I have worked with several students whom, after completing an initial diagnostic quiz, have needed only a week or two to concentrate on a specific section of the GED.
I personalize each student's study plan/schedule, and provide continuous feedback throughout all stages of the test prep process...up until the examination date, if requested. I also post lesson tutorials on my web page for the areas that students seem to struggle with the most.
My method of test preparation is customized to meet each student's learning needs, and is designed to facilitate an ongoing learning process...rather than the typical "cram session."
I have completed several years of Graduate-level research in the field of educational assessment and curriculum planning. Furthermore, I have plenty of experience preparing students who plan to sit for the ISEE by helping in the fine-tuning of both verbal and quantitative reasoning for the following grade levels:
-students in grades 4-11 seeking admission to grades 5-12 in independent schools.
-grades 4-5 seeking admission to grades 5 and 6 take the Lower Level
-students in grades 6-7 seeking admission to grades 7-8 take the Middle Level
-students in grades 8-11 seeking admission to grades 9-12 take the Upper Level.
I have over a decade of experience in online test preparation, but my experience with prospective medical students has been the most interesting and personally fulfilling. The exam is multiple-choice, designed to assess the examinee's problem solving, critical thinking, and knowledge of scientific principles. I design every MCAT study plan to include in-depth content review of the Physical Sciences, Verbal Reasoning, and Biological Sciences.
Please feel free to send me any questions/concerns about an individual section of the MCAT, or the format and procedure regarding the exam process itself.
I'm a learning specialist and certified Instructional Designer with several years of experience in the development of online test preparation study plans and have a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching.
I have experience in preparing future educators to sit for both the Praxis I (pre-professional) and Praxis II (subject-specific) examinations.
I am very knowledgeable in study skills, and have successfully used these skills for over a decade in my own schooling. I am also certified in basic study skills and mind-mapping. (Alison)
