I am a professional educator with 15+ years experience as a teacher and tutor, working with elementary, middle school, high school, and adult students. My areas of expertise include all academic elementary subject areas, middle school and high school language arts, social studies and geography, and adult ESL teaching/tutoring. I have four of my own children ranging in age from 7-17. I have much experience teaching a variety of ages, subject areas, and ability levels. I have experience working with students with special needs in my regular education classrooms. In addition I received ESL training while working as an ESL tutor in an elementary school and as an ESL instructor in an adult continuing education program through a local community college. I take the approach of meeting students where they are at academically, identifying their needs and developing a plan of how to provide an appropriate individualized tutoring program to help them succeed. I look forward to new challenges by helping students find success in areas that may be challenging for them. I have been very successful helping former students as well as my own children become successful in a variety of academic areas. I look forward to working with new students to help them meet their academic needs.
