I am a certified teacher and have taught preschool through adults. I have endorsements to teach language arts and special education. I have extensive tutoring experience in math and language arts for first through eighth grade students. I have taught in both private and public alternative school for students with learning disabilities and behavior or emotional disorders as well as a GED program for adults.
I love teaching basic math though the use of manipulatives to help students understand the underlying concepts. In addition, I encourage proper grammar and good writing skills in all subject areas. I am patient, organized, and dependable. I am a parent myself and understand that students often need to experience success to be motivated to do well.
