I am a native Spanish speaker. I have been working with kids for almost 18 years. In the teaching field, I was a substitute ESL teacher in Velez Sarsfield High School in Salta, Argentina. During that time I was also tutoring ESL for students of different ages (3 year olds-adults.) I am very passionate about what I do. Teaching is a rewarding experience, and I enjoy how much I can learn from students. While I was working as an Au Pair (Cultural Exchange Program) I was improving my English language skills taking care of kids. I developed plan lessons in order to implement a bilingual education on them. I helped Mrs. Marban, and Vazquez in their Math class, working with children whose scores were lower compared with the group. My instruction was to make sure that no child would stay behind in the School of Dual Language, Vernon Hills. At the same school, I become a member of the multicultural committee. I helped in numerous event planning, organization, and fulfilling different position at the events.
I have got a Bachelor in Belly Dancing and fusions. I become a professional dancer, and own my own dance studio in Argentina. I have received some ballet, modern dance, ballroom dancing, tango, folk dance, flamenco, bollywood, jazzercise, zumba, and yoga training. My dance school was invited to participate in numerous national and international events organized for the CIAD (Confederacion Interamericana de Danza.) My students and I participated in numerous national competitions, winning from 1st-3rd places, including the best choreographer. In the U.S I have been teaching my dance technique, unique style, choreograph and also dance for different dance companies, like The Prairie Dance Troup (College of Lake County), The Dessert Flames (Raksanna, Inc), and Payaliya Dance Studio (Lake Zurich.) I have also been selected at the Lake County Got Talent as a performer. I am an active dancer in the community, and my last achievement has been a dance scholarship at the College of Lake County. I was a choreographer at the 13th/14th Fear No Art at CLC, I will be performing in a Production show "Confessions of a Belly Dancer" at the Chicago Theater in November 3rd, 2012.
I will love to teach my students what I know in order to become successful on what they do. Life is not easy and dancing can be very competitive, sometimes. There is nothing that you can’t achieve if there is not dedication and practice.
