I graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis (B.A.) and Carnegie Mellon University (M.F.A.). I love helping my students succeed! I can assist you or your child with mastering subject material, building study skills, and improving grades.

I provide personalized college counseling and expert feedback on application essays. I work with a wide variety of clients, from those with perfect ACT scores and Ivy League dreams to C students looking to stand out from the crowd.

My tutoring specialties include Writing, English, Reading, SAT Verbal, SAT Writing, ACT English, ACT Reading, ACT Writing, AP U.S. History, AP European History, AP English Language & Composition, and AP English Literature & Composition. Please note, I do not tutor math or science. I instruct students age 11 and up.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. I have worked with numerous high school students to determine appropriate colleges based on interests, skills, and aptitudes. So far, 100% of my students have been admitted to their first choice, second choice, or third choice schools. I have experience as a college instructor at Carnegie Mellon University and as a private tutor serving Chicagoland.
