I am certified through the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL) and the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI )-High Advanced Spanish. I am a highly flexible and adaptable performer, and a liaison within the social service institution to assist the Hispanic communities. I implement innovative strategies to benefit the student to its highest academic performance. Currently, I am working as a bilingual tutor for a school district in Illinois. I have obtained the teacher assistant letter of approval and I have worked for about 17 years for many school district (elementary, middle, & high schools).
I have tutored in all subjects to individual or in group setting in English and /or Spanish reinforcing instructional practices and dedicated in helping each student achieve state and local standards in a collaborative effort between school staff and parents within the community. I enjoyed working with all age group children and their challenging needs. I also taught English and Spanish to children and adults in my hometown. I am patient, dedicated, motivated, and a problem solver individual. I have tutored a wide range of ability levels and learning styles. I have traveled to other Spanish- speaking countries to learn the acquisition of the language speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Lessons should be fun, creative, and challenging for children to continue learning. I believe I have the learning tools necessary for each child to follow the ladder of success.
