Francie adapted immediately to teaching methods that made learning easier for me. She has been at each lesson with new ideas and creative ways for me to practice not only reading but pronunciation. She uses a combination of websites, music, textbooks (at my request) and short novels. I thoroughly enjoy the lessons and look forward to them. Don't hesitate to engage her as a teacher.
Francie L. is a very experienced teacher and tutor with many different strategies at her fingertips for building confidence and knowledge. The exposure to different cultural traditions in Spain and Latin America is very interesting.
Francie is tutoring my high school sons in Spanish. They find her enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very patient. She has given them excellent instruction and practice with this challenging subject. With Francie's helpful suggestions and examples, their grammar, vocabulary, test taking and study skills have improved. Francie responded promptly to my initial inquiry and gives quick and detailed feedback on each tutoring session. I highly recommend her tutoring services!
Excellent Tutor - very quick to help and guide you through a problem or clarify something. Excellent for a more advanced and older student - a very nice person who is patient and easy to work with - sessions very rewarding and worth the money.
The girls are absolutely loving the summer Spanish sessions. Francie is very thorough and creative; she thinks of unique and special ways of teach Spanish to my girls and the girls are quickly picking up the language. I believe a lot of it has to do with Mrs. Francie's skills and experience. She knows how to obtain a child's attention (whether they are singing Spanish songs, using the computer, making puppets or playing hopscotch) she incorporates Spanish into every activity and making the learning process so much fun for the girls. Thank you Mrs. Francie for taking the time to teach our girls and the girls anxiously look forward to the next lesson.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
