Did you know that the SAT and ACT are changing? As of 2016 the SAT will be changing its format, and in 2015 the ACT will also be making some minor adjustments. I have been closely monitoring these changes and would be happy to let you know more information about what I have learned from both institutions.
Over the past ten years I have devoted myself to being the best academic tutor and test preparation coach that I can be. Unlike many other tutors, my full time job is in the world of academics. When not teaching, I spend my 'work time' on curriculum design, lesson planning, and research and development.
I am a traditional tutor in that I help students learn things that they may not understand in a typical classroom setting. However, I employ many non-traditional approaches to tutoring, including bifurcated tutoring sessions. I often find that this is often more useful than regular tutoring sessions. My specialities are math, including math based science topics, as well as test preparation.
Please consider the information below if you are looking for my test preparation services. You should consider becoming my student if:
You would like to work with one of very few tutors in the world who has received a perfect 36 on the ACT and a 2400 on the SAT.
You would like to work somebody who has not only tutored, but designed curriculum, and coordinated programs for many different organizations across the country.
You want to know why programs like Kaplan, Princeton Review, and Revolution Prep don't necessarily work. I have had to work with dozens of students who have unsuccessfully completed the classroom course at some of these companies.
You are interested in learning the foundations of why and how the test is structured, and want to work with me on the foundational curriculum I have put together to gain a deeper understanding of the test prep that will not only be helpful for test day, but also for college.
You want to work with somebody who not only can help you with test scores, but somebody who can also help you plan your path to college. After all, good test scores are only part of the picture.
Finally, you should be willing to put in the time and effort required to become a master. Unfortunately, for most people, a change will not happen overnight, and you should not believe anybody who tells you they can do that.
